Class Description

Learn the basics of using RS Means to better understand estimating projects and allow you to put together real costs for projects.

RSMeans is a valuable tool to estimate construction costs, especially used for Job Order Contracting. If you have applied for the City of Portland’s JOC, this class will be important for you to attend. The instructor will explain the basics of using RSMeans to better understand estimating projects and allow you to put together real costs for projects. JOC already utilizes RSMeans and combines the material costs with the labor costs to come up with a “unit task“ price.

This class is applicable for all participant levels, but primarily focused on estimators.
